Jay I. Solomon, B.C.L, LL.B, M.A. (Crim)
Jay I. Solomon was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec and graduated from McGill Law School in 1986 with law degrees in both civil and common law.
In 1988 Jay obtained a Master of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University in the field of criminology.
Jay articled with a respected litigation firm in Vancouver and was called to the bar in 1990.
Since that date Jay has focused his litigation practice in the areas of Personal Injury, Civil Forfeiture Defence, Criminal Defence and Immigration.
Jay has appeared in all levels of court including the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Canada, and the Court of Appeal of British Columbia.
During his time away from work Jay spends time with his family and pursues his passion for wildlife photography.
Bree Makohn, B.A, J.D.
Bree Makohn was born in Toronto, Ontario and raised in Vancouver, B.C.
Bree graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2011 with a Juris Doctorate in law and was co-recipient of the Auriol Gurner Young Memorial Award for her contributions to feminism and the law.
Bree articled with Jay I Solomon and was called to the bar in 2012.
Bree enjoys dance and photography in her time away from the office.
Tam Tran, Paralegal
Tam Tran was born and raised in Vietnam. He has a law degree from
University of Law of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. He graduated from a
Paralegal Program at Capilano University. He joined Jay I. Solomon Law Corporation in 2002.
He works full time in support of our immigration practice and offers invaluable interpretation services to our Vietnamese speaking clients.
